Best Brioche French Toast

The most satisfying, most delicious French toast you will ever have. It’s guaranteed to brighten up your day, but the best thing about this, is that it’s super easy and practical to make!
  • 6 slices (1-inch thick) brioche loaf
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 5 tea spoons granulated white sugar
  • ¼ tea spoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ tea spoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 3 table spoons unsalted butter
  • fresh blueberries to serve
  • fresh raspberries to serve
  • fresh kiwis, sliced and quartered to serve
  • pure maple syrup to serve
  • powdered/icing sugar to dust (optional)
  1. WHISK the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. HEAT the butter in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
  3. TRANSFER the whisked egg mixture to a shallow tray and dip each slice of brioche loaf into the egg mixture. Turn over until each side is well saturated.
  4. PLACE each slice of brioche onto the pan one at a time and cook for 2-3 minutes. Flip the slices over onto their other side when the bottom side is golden brown and cook for a further 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Keep in a warm oven until ready to serve.
  5. SERVE with a drizzle of maple syrup, some fresh fruit and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
